Commercial - Mechanical Engineer Boise

	Idaho Fish and Game Headquarters: Over 71,000 sqft of new office spaces for the Idaho Fish and Game personnel and data center. Energy efficient VRF system for independent temperature control in each office, DOAS units with energy recovery. Energy efficient gas equipment, water heaters, and BBQ connection. Plumbing design included recirculating systems, booster pump, and roof drainage systems to surface water landscape features.
	T-Sheets at Lakemoor: This project consisted of a VAV tenant improvement project for two floors of an existing three-story shell and core office building. Each floor is approximately 22,000 gsf. A complete mechanical and plumbing design was provided.
	Verizon Wireless TI, Boise ID: Tenant Improvement from an empty shell and core space to a new Verizon Wireless retail store. Design included the addition of a restroom, storage room, and retail display spaces.
	Tobyhanna Army Depot – Shop, Tobyhanna PA: Renovation of the Army Core of Engineer’s woodworking facility that serves the Tobyhanna Army Depot Military buildings. Design included explosion proof equipment that could safely operate in a sawdust environment as well as a new DDC control system that is capable of interfacing to site base-wide system.
	National Weather Center NOAA – Brookhaven NY: Mechanical HVAC design to support the renovation efforts ongoing with the weather center. The project involved replacing several pieces of mechanical equipment and duct work and plumbing modifications.
	McDonalds Restaurant Franklin, Boise ID: This project plumbing design for a new hand wash sink, relocating a coffee brewer, soda tower and ice machine.
	Athlos Charter School Headquarters: Full mechanical design and renovation of the 100,000 sf/5 story of the historic downtown Macy’s building as it is converted to the Athlos Charter School Headquarters. The multi-million dollar renovation will include a faculty training center, corporate office, event spaces, a 30 yd football turf, and hard-court basketball court.
	Ada County Juvenile Center West: The project consists of the demolition of an existing 2,600 square foot (SF) facility and the construction of a new ground up facility of approximately 5,000 SF. A complete HVAC and plumbing design were required. The new facility will consist of general office space. The new facility will target LEED Silver. Construction will be completed in early 2016.
	McDonalds Broadway Remodel, Boise ID: Mechanical Design and Equipment selection for new rooftop unit replacements during the roof renovation.
	Pet IQ, Eagle ID: HVAC remodel of a 7,800 sq ft office building. HVAC analysis and duct work and plumbing changes to support the new layout and use.
	Department of Health and Welfare – Data Center: This project focused on a new cooling system for an existing computer equipment room. The design included a new cold aisle containment system with in-row water cooled computer room air conditioners (CRAHs) and redundancy.
	State of Idaho, Idaho Department of Corrections, Boiler Replacement, Kuna ID: Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire system Engineering Services provided to replace the boiler heating equipment for several buildings on the ISCI campus (Administration, Medical, Pendyne, and Education). These buildings were removed from the prison campus central steam supply system.
	State of Idaho, Idaho Department of Corrections, Gymnasium, Kuna ID: Design services included Mechanical, Electrical, Structural and Architectural analysis. This project involved removing the steam and hot water heaters in the main gym area and replacing them with two heating and ventilation roof mounted HVUs and included a full control system addition to the facility.
	Idaho Supreme Court Building, Boise ID: This project involved completing an investigative report, design, and construction administration to replace the existing primary air handling unit at the Idaho Supreme Court Building. The current Air Handling Unit is no longer capable of providing adequate heat due to a recent conversion of the building from steam to geothermal heating.
	Ada County 911 Dispatch Center: HVAC and electrical upgrades to include a hot-aisle containment rack system. The design included new computer room air conditioners, chillers, piping, dry coolers and appurtenances. The plumbing was updated as needed to support the new racks and cooling equipment.
	Full Steam Bistro, Boise ID: HVAC Load calculations and plumbing design for a newly planned bistro in the 951 Front Building.
	Wells Fargo La Grande, La Grande OR: Design and construction administration of a 12,000 sq ft facility that required a retrofit of an existing central air handler and replacement with a split systems.
	Black Bear Diner, Boise ID: Design for the gray shell for new 5,500 sq ft diner located as part of the new North Pointe development on State and Gary. Rough-in included HVAC roof mounted equipment, gas piping, vents, and stubs for future ductwork. Plumbing rough-in included tie to water main, and backflow preventer.
	Idaho Ice World: Project design included replacing the existing CPVC heating water lines that serve the two ice with black steel grooved with insulated pipes. The lines were replaced from the heat exchanger located in the mechanical room, to the main headers adjacent to each ice rink. Pipe insulation was updated to aluminum jacketing to be more resistant to damage.
	Amity Cathedral of the Rockies: HVAC and Plumbing design of a new free standing building that includes a 300-400 seat sanctuary, narthex, restrooms, mechanical/electrical rooms and other ancillary spaces. This project also included master planning for future expansion. The size of this project is approximately 7,000 sf/ $1 Million.
	Dutch Bros. Coffee: Complete mechanical and plumbing design for a two-story addition to the existing office building. Design for two new split systems, for upper and lower floors. Design for an exhaust system for the new restroom. Plumbing design for a new break room sink, tub, water closet and new floor sink.
	Scentsy Server Room Cooling: Analysis to add a drycooler capable of providing cooling to the computer server room. The project included reviewing existing conditions, energy calculations, coordination with Idaho Power Incentive program, sequence of operation and control schematics.
	Mountain West Bank – Meridian Branch: Mountain West Bank’s first Meridian location. Consists of several packaged rooftop units with gas heat and electric cooling. Full plumbing, HVAC and fire protection design were included with the project.
	Rite Aid: Designed and drafted a complete HVAC retrofit of the store. This project included additional ductwork and airflow design for the increased size of the new pharmacy.
	Happy Teriyaki: Mechanical HVAC Engineering services provided for conversion of a 1,500 sf restaurant to a teriyaki restaurant. This project included design of new kitchen hoods, exhaust fans, make-up air units, ductwork and evaluation of existing rooftop unit. New gas piping was added as needed to the kitchen make-up unit and kitchen appliances.
	Cable One Data Center: Engineering services for the expansion of the Idaho Falls data center. Services include new CRAC units to accommodate increased heating loads.
	Bono’s Investigation: A technical analysis and investigation on the existing mechanical systems in a Meridian restaurant approximately 3,700 sf in size. In addition to verifying existing conditions, existing equipment functionality check, equipment maintenance review, and airflow monitoring was done. Recommendations were made to solve cooling issues presented by the owner.
